  Encouraging and Supporting Pastors

Power Breakfasts and Lunches:

The SBCV Pastor and Staff Fellowships will take on a new look beginning in August with Power Breakfasts and Lunches (Power B&L).  An informal restaurant setting will provide a relaxed atmosphere to encourage and pray for one another along with receiving some valuable tools and resources to use in ministry.  These lunches will be smaller, more convenient to you and dutch treat.  In the past, we normally had two Pastor Fellowships in the Midwest Area now, we will have at least 8 Power B&L's.  With gas prices hitting $4.00, you reap the benefit of having a Power B&L closer to you.  Watch this space for the locations of the August Power B&L's.

Soldier R & R Kits Update

The response by SBC of Virginia Churches to the Virginia National Guard soldiers deployed in Iraq has been abudantly above anything we could ever ask or imagine.  SBC of Virginia Churches have prepared 2,105 Soldier R & R Kits.  This will allow soldiers to experience a little bit of home by watching a movie, enjoying a snack and reading the best Book.

Zion Hill, Palestine, New Life, Grace Fellowshiop, Grace-Stuart, Glen Lyn, Fishersville, First-Bassett, East End-Roanoke, Crystal Springs, Brambleton and Boones Mill all participated in preparing boxes to remind our deployed soldiers they are prayed for daily and not forgotten.  Thank you for supporting this ministry effort.
