Fellowship Opportunities

Fellowships Will Take A New Look Beginning In August

Power Lunches and Breakfasts:
The Pastor and Staff Fellowships will take a new look beginning in August with Power Lunches and Power Breakfasts.  In the past, the SBCV has hosted two monthly pastor fellowships in the Northern area.  Now, we are excited to ofer seven breakfasts and lunches.  The informal setting around the restaurant table will provide a relaxed atmosphere to encourage one another, pray for one another, and receive some valuable tools and resources to use in ministry.  These fellowships will be smaller more intimate groups and more convenient for you.  In a day with rising gas prices, we see the need to come to you in order to join you in ministry.

Mark your calendars for the Power Breakfast or Power Lunch nearest you.
Mon., Aug. 4 - 11:30am     Applebee's in Tappahannock
Tues., Aug. 5 - 11:30am     Country Cookin' in Orange
Tues., Aug. 12-  8:30am     Cracker Barrel in Fredericksburg
Tues., Aug. 12- 11:30am     King Street Blues in Stafford

Connections:
In September, November, and April, we will have larger evening fellowships called "Connections" at the two traditional Northern locations.  There will be a Fall, Christmas, and Spring Connection that will feature good food, fellowship, a guest speaker, testimonies, music and more.

Mark your calendars for the September Connections.  Please remember to invite your spouse.
September 9 at 6:30 pm at Travelers Rest Baptist Church in Spotsylvania
September 23 at 6:30 pm at Amissville Baptist Church in Amissville

Family Fun Days:
We will also have a fall family picnic which will provide a great opportunity for our families to meet with another.

If you have questions about the new fellowship format, please call me at 540-521-6783 or email at dwebb@sbcv.org.

 Church Enrichment Missionary (CEM)

  Darrell Webb

Ministry Experience: Darrell has served in various ministerial roles including: associate pastor, minister of music, missions, children and youth in Memphis, Tennessee. Most recently, he has served as the senior pastor of Exmore Baptist Church and as the founder of Shore Christian Academy in Exmore, Virginia.

Life Verse: "But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God" Acts 20:24.

  Church Planting Strategist (CPS)
  Ron Kidd

Ministry Experience:  Since being called into ministry in 1966 Ron has had a profound passion for students, missions and church planting.  He has had extensive ministry in church planting and in student ministry throughout Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia and in France.  He, and wife Linda, served 14 years in France as missionaries.  One of his greatest joys was being used by God to plant a church in the suburbs of Paris, and to continue to see it be a vibrant and effective witness for Christ in one of the worlds most secular of societies.

Life Verse:  "Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:13,14.
