Brian Jennings, Speaker

Brian is Senior Pastor at Salem Baptist Church in Apex, North Carolina.  He was born and raised in Lynchburg, VA and graduated from Virginia Tech. He attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in 2009. He began serving at Salem in 2022. Prior to that he served as the Discipleship Pastor at First Baptist Church Woodstock, GA. He also serves as a Camp Pastor each summer for Lifeway’s Fuge Camps. Brian is passionate about the gospel and its power to transform lives. He loves the Word of God and preaches and teaches in an expositional manner.  Brian has been married to his wife Emily – also a graduate of Southeastern – since 2006. They have three boys, Elliot, Benjamin, and Gideon. He enjoys riding mountain biking trails, reading history, theology, or classic literature. He is a fan of the Atlanta Braves and Virginia Tech Hokies.

Jonathan Couch, Worship Leader

Jonathan is the Minister of Students at Grace Life Baptist Church in Christiansburg, Virginia. As Minister to Students, Jonathan Couch oversees the Youth and College ministries including Sunday Morning Life Groups, AXIS youth worship on Sunday nights, our Youth Worship Band, and many other activities throughout the year. Jonathan is a native of Christiansburg, graduating from Christiansburg High School in 1996. He received a degree in business management from Radford University in 1999.  Jonathan and his wife Erin have been married since 1999 and have three children, Cara, Chloe, and Trey.
