Church Plants

All new healthy churches begin with a vision and a calling from God.

The process of advancing from the initial vision to a fledgling body of believers who covenant together to be a local church can last from a few months to a few years for partnering churches and church planters alike. To reflect more of what God is doing in birthing new churches in Virginia and Washington, DC, we have listed the locations and information available for new churches that are being developed. These groups, called launch teams or new churches in development, have yet to start public worship services and are not yet performing all of the biblical functions of a church.

We share this information so that you can assist in the following ways:

1. Pray for these teams, their leaders, and their partnering churches.
2. As an individual, consider partnering with one of these launch teams in a short-term mission project or by planting your life in the focus community and becoming an active member of the launch team.
3. As a local church, consider partnering with one of these launch teams through prayer, financial assistance, sending short- and long-term mission teams, or contributing to the material or worship space needs of the new church.
4. Refer believers you may know living in the focus communities to these new churches being started there.
