Today in our missions prayer time, we’re heading to Maryland. Our missionaries, Alex and Corrine Bouffard, have planted a new church in Severna Park, about 17 miles south of Baltimore, not far from the Chesapeake Bay.
Severna Park has some 30,000 people, but basically it sits in the middle of the Baltimore-Washington urban area with millions of lost people. Many residents in Severna Park are well-educated, but just as lost.
Earlier Alex served as a lay elder in South Shore Church, a nearby Maryland church. The young adult ministry he led grew quickly and soon everyone realized it needed to become a separate church.
That’s how Alex and Corrine came to plant Saints Church in early 2021. Twenty-five new believers were baptized in the first two years.
As Alex meets people in town, he finds they often ask detailed theological questions. He loves watching people’s faces light up with amazement when they realize the Bible has answers to their toughest questions.
Our church is providing financial help to Alex and Corrine through our Cooperative Program giving. Let’s pray now for them and rejoice in that growing new church.
