There’s been a boom in births in Cambodia. Children outside of the capital city often have no way to receive a good education, or even proper care if their parents abandoned them.
Haylee Grace* and others on a team from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, recently served those children through teaching, playing games, listening, and sharing the gospel. This short-term trip was Grace’s first international mission trip, and she got a glimpse into some of the sacrifices and discomforts the missionaries, churches, and church planters they assisted face regularly.
Southwestern, which receives support through the Cooperative Program, trains students such as Grace who are called to local or overseas missions. They do this by teaching missions and evangelism courses and providing regular opportunities to participate in mission trips.
Let’s pray for the faculty of Southwestern Seminary and students like Grace, as they train, prepare, and then go across the world to share the gospel.
