“God took care of me when I was an orphan.”
Bobby Canipe does not have a common childhood story. His mother unexpectedly died when he was just a little boy. His father could not care for him, so Canipe ended up in the uncertain and ever-changing foster care system.
“It’s a deep call to love the orphans, to provide for the orphans, and help them become champions in life and give their lives to Christ.”
Canipe is using his experience to improve the lives of aging out foster teens. He founded Fostering Champions in Rocky Mount to help provide meals, clothes, transportation, education, jobs, and, more recently, a home to foster girls.
Thanks to your gifts through Vision Virginia, you are making a different in the lives of foster care children.
“God is using your generosity to transform the lives of many foster teens here in Franklin County and throughout Virginia.” Canipe continued, “Reminding them that God is the Father to the fatherless. He loves the orphans and His desire is for all to be saved.”
