If you are like me… you have been watching the conflict and tragedy in Israel and Gaza with sadness and horror. We see evil personified, and we see the ramifications of what happens after. There are hundreds of dead, many held hostage, many more wounded and thousands upon thousands fleeing for their lives.
But, because of our Cooperative Partnership, we have Gospel boots on the ground serving and sharing.
One of those partners is Send Relief. If you don’t know what that is – it is a collaboration of IMB and NAMB working to meet humanitarian needs around the world and share the hope of the Gospel. If you go to sendrelief.org – you will see how you and your church can give directly to partners in Israel and the region to quickly respond to the growing personal needs of so many. Whether shelter, food, or trauma counseling – we can make a difference today.
You can also give through our Vision Virginia state mission offering. This special offering is sending much needed help to ministry and humanitarian partners serving both Israeli’s and the Palestinian people as well as other people groups in the Middle East.
And so many SBCV churches are coming together for prayer. We are commanded to pray for the peace of Jerusalem in Psalm 122. We want peace to be in the entire land of Israel. But we know that can only happen with divine intervention. We want the Gospel to go forth to both Israelis and Palestinians – because we know that our God is no respecter of persons, and the Gospel is good news to both the Jew and the Greek.
