Shawn serves churches in the Central-West and Southside region as regional catalyst. He also serves statewide as coordinator of the Disaster Relief ministry. He is passionate about mobilizing believers to engage others with Gospel.
Born in Arizona, he moved around with his military parents before settling in central Alaska, where he spent his formative years. He became a Christian in ninth grade, and surrendered to ministry during his junior year of high school. After high school, he moved to Lynchburg to attend Liberty University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Religion and a Master’s of Divinity in Pastoral Ministries.
Prior to working in the SBC of Virginia, he served for 11 years as youth pastor of Hyland Heights Baptist in Lynchburg. He makes his home near Lynchburg, in Campbell County, with his wife, Wendy, and their three children: Shawn, Savanna, and Rylee.
